
Al-Taj News – Milliyet newspaper reported that famous Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kılıç, known to Russian viewers for the series “The Oath” and the film “Winter Sleep,” was found dead in his apartment in Istanbul.
According to the newspaper, the body was found in the Nurtepe neighborhood of Istanbul’s Kağıthane district. The 51-year-old actor’s friend went to his home after being unable to contact him since Thursday. After receiving no response when she rang the doorbell, the woman opened the apartment using a key she had, only to find Kılıç sitting motionless on a chair in the living room. She immediately called emergency services.
The newspaper reported that doctors who arrived at the scene pronounced the actor dead, and an investigation was launched to determine the circumstances of his death.
The aforementioned actor was known to viewers through the Turkish series “The Oath” (Söz), in which he portrayed the character ‘Çolak’ — one of the main villains in the series. He also played Ergün Black in the popular series ‘The Eighties’ (Seksenler), and the role of Salih Bozok in the historical drama “Farewell” (Veda).
Kılıç also appeared in Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s film “Winter Sleep” (Kış Uykusu), which won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
